Neon lights glow against the deep night sky in Bob’s Big Boy Late Night Snack, capturing the unmistakable nostalgia of a classic California drive-in after dark. Sandra’s rich indigo washes, warm restaurant lights, and loose reflections give the scene a lively, cinematic quality, while the familiar Big Boy sign rises above the parked cars like a roadside beacon. A colorful celebration of vintage Americana, cruising culture, and those late-night stops that become part of California memory. 18"x12" unframed.
Reel Inn Malibu captures the beloved roadside seafood landmark as it once appeared along Pacific Coast Highway, its colorful sign rising above the evening traffic and soft Malibu sky. Painted years before the Reel Inn was destroyed in the 2025 Palisades Fire, Sandra’s watercolor now preserves a familiar piece of coastal history. Loose washes of pale blue, gold, and muted green give the scene a warm dusk atmosphere, while the cars, utility poles, and glowing sign evoke the everyday character of this much-loved PCH stop. The painting has taken on an added poignancy as a record of a place remembered by generations of Southern Californians. 12"x10", unframed.
Moonshadows Malibu captures the serene glow of evening along the Malibu coast, where soft twilight colors settle over the shoreline and the hillside beyond. Sandra’s loose watercolor washes of blue, lavender, peach, and gold create a luminous coastal atmosphere, while the palms, ocean, and warmly lit gathering place suggest the relaxed elegance of this iconic seaside setting. Peaceful and atmospheric, the painting evokes Malibu at dusk—where land, sea, and evening light come together in a distinctly California mood. 16"x12", unframed.
